VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Feb. 12, 2015) – Master Chief John Mulholland, command master chief of Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC), is piped ashore for the last time by Sailors from NECC on Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Feb. 12. The time honored tradition of piping a Sailor ashore happens when a Sailor comes to the end of his time in the U.S. Navy and retires. Master Chief Mulholland served for 32 years.
