A portion of the brigade headquarters recently returned from Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, in December 2014 after completing the CENTCOM Materiel Recovery Element mission, which focused on retrograde and deconstruction. They resumed control of the brigade’s two battalions and the sustainment mission in the Pacific.
