Nearly 100 senior leaders from the Coalition Air Force Training Team and the Iraqi Air Force came together during a joint commanders' conference at Camp Victory, Iraq May 20, 2009, to discuss the Iraqi Air Force's successes up to this point and to forge a way ahead for the service. The joint conference was a first for the partnership. Some of the topics included operationalizing the Iraqi Air Force, communications, and an Iraqi Air Force maintenance instruction signing which finalized months of hard work between the Iraqi air force and the CAFTT.
