Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Janie Saldivar, a native of De Queen, Ark., stands by on the forecastle of the dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45) while the ship is moored for a port visit. Comstock, part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, is on a deployment with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) to promote peace and freedom of the seas by providing security and stability in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
