Lt. Gen. John A. Toolan speaks to infantry officers about the capabilities of the ranges at the training facility Jan. 10 during exercise Lava Viper 15.1-2 on Hawaii, Hawaii. Toolan wanted to observe his Marines’ actions during the biannual training exercise that implements joint service capabilities to include the air-sea battle concepts.
