Two U.S. Army soldiers in ACU (Army Combat Uniform) camouflage are engaged in what appears to be an IED search or excavation operation in a field environment. One soldier is actively digging with a shovel in disturbed earth while the other observes and holds what appears to be a detection device. Both soldiers are wearing full combat gear including helmets, body armor, and protective eyewear.

Sgt. Sean Vinsick (left), who hails from North Versailles, Pa., and Staff Sgt. Paul Jones, a native of Waynesboro, Pa., are both cavalry scouts assigned to C Troop, 2nd Squadron, 104th Cavalry Regiment, 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team. The Soldiers worked as a team to test the soil for remnants of explosives or weapons using the "Fido," a portable explosives detection device at a farm in Hay al-Skri, May 8.
