Officer Uff, a K-9 trained specifically for patrol and explosives detection with the police department aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, retires after serving four and a half years in Barstow, Dec. 3. Uff has worked with his handler, Officer Gilberto Navarete, for the last year and half, to include one deployment overseas to assist the Secret Service with their missions.
