U.S. Marines with SPMAGTF Crisis Response – Africa march through flames from Molotov cocktails towards role-playing rioters while training in crowd and riot control techniques at the National Gendarmerie Training Center in St. Astier, France, Dec. 2, 2014. The exercise, which was conducted with the French Gendarmerie, allowed the Marines to gain greater knowledge of non-lethal tactics, techniques and procedures while enhancing interoperability with the French Gendarmerie and strengthening the U.S. partnership with France.
