An explosion ravages the ground and surrounding areas in Camp Singo, Uganda, Nov. 4, 2014. This blast was a demonstration arranged by explosive ordnance technicians who are part of a team of Marines and Sailors with SPMAGTF-Crisis Response-Africa, who are currently working with soldiers from the Uganda People’s Defense Force, preparing them for future deployments. The blast was part of a countering-improvised explosive devices package being taught and was used to show the UPDF how devastating IEDs can be. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Shawn Valosin)
