Col. Kristin Goodwin, 2nd Bomb Wing commander, presents Senior Airman TJ Brantley, 2nd Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician, the Purple Heart during the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Sept. 11, 2014. Brantley received wounds from an improvised explosive device that detonated within ten feet during a sustained firefight.
