Naval aviators with Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 501 conduct aerial maneuvers over Florida during aerial refueling training Oct. 30, 2014. VMFAT-501 is the Corps’ only active training squadron for the F-35B Lightening II Joint Strike Fighter, which will provide a multi-role, fifth-generation fighter attack capability for the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. VMFAT-501 is based at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, S.C.
