San Antonio native, Staff Sgt. David Arispe, of the 277th Engineer Company, attached to the 46th Engineer Battalion, 225th Engineer Brigade, surveys progress made by a heavy equipment scraper, April 6, while working on the Western Bypass road west of al-Faw Palace. The scraper smoothes down the surface of the ground. It can remove up to two feet of earth and holds 14 cubic yards of fill, said Arispe, non-commissioned officer in charge.
