Chief of Navy Chaplains Rear Adm. Margaret Grun Kibben delivers the invocation at the 2014 USO annual Gala to honor the service of the many men and women in uniform, their families and the 29,000 volunteers who make up the USO. Exceptional service members from each branch of service were honored during the evening and this year's USO Sailor of the Year honoree is Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician 1st Class Troy A. Comer for saving the lives of service members through bomb neutralization techniques in Afghanistan as well as saving the lives of a mother and child from a burning building.
