Recruits of Bravo Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, clear an obstacle during a combat training course Sept. 23, 2014, on Parris Island, S.C. Recruits learned to communicate and maneuver in a simulated combat environment. Recruits learn the primary mission of a Marine Corps rifle squad, which is to locate, close with and destroy an enemy by using fire and maneuver. Bravo Company is scheduled to graduate Oct. 17, 2014.
