Sgt. William Cotner from Greeley, Colo., and his German Shepherd "Staff Sgt. Piero" from Taji K-9, in support of C Troop, 2nd Squadron, 104th Cavalry, 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 28th Infantry Division, attempt to find unexploded ordnance and cached munitions in the Taji Qada. The dogs are specially trained to sniff out many different forms of explosives and have proven useful in the struggle against insurgents in Iraq.
