Carlos Torres, Camp Lemonier Fire Department, instructs personnel on proper use of the Tri Mx 30 fire suppression system during Safety Day on March 27, where they learned about fire safety, suicide prevention and played safety jeopardy. The service members of Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, headquartered in Djibouti, employ an indirect approach to counter violent extremism. Through a strategy of cooperative conflict prevention the task force helps build the internal capacities of countries at risk to prevail against extremists exploiting instability.
