Airman 1st Class Shane Corcoran, 887th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron Raven B operator, launches an RQ-11B unmanned aerial system from Camp Bucca's Burge Field, Feb. 25. Requiring neither runway nor launcher, the Raven B is ideal for tactical-level intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions. Everything needed to operate the system can fit into a rucksack, and the UAS itself can be launched by hand or from a vehicle.
