Air Force Senior Airman Tara Schmidt, aerospace physiology journeyman with the 18th Aerospace Medicine Squadron on Kadena Air Base, performs communication checks with Marine students before the simulated ascent and decent of the hypo baric chamber. Approximately 20 Marines from 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, took part in hypo baric training on Kadena March 6 to qualify for high-altitude parachute operations.
