Gonzalez is a hygiene equipment operator with a Camp Pendleton, Calif.-based 7th Engineer Support Battalion detachment currently assigned to CLB-3, the logistics combat element of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Afghanistan. The detachment is scheduled to return home in March after a seven-month tour that began in August 2008.
