    On the flight line of 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 227th Avaition Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Colonel Douglas Gabram from Cleveland, commander of the 1st ACB, gives the III Corps Command Sgt. Maj. Neil Ciotola, from Elizabeth, N.J., an explanation of the components and their functions in the front seat of an AH-64D Apache attack helicopter just before Ciotola's flight, on Fort Hood, Texas, March 9. "I'll never be able to determine how many times these aircraft saved the lives of me and my troops." Ciotola said.
