Maj. Marcus Snow, economic development officer for the 304th Civil Affairs Brigade, unpacks a box of toys from his hometown of Philadelphia in anticipation of the arrival of children from the Iraq National Institute of Handicapped Orphans on March 3. These civil affairs Soldiers volunteer their time and energy to spend an afternoon with the children distributing clothes and toys. This unit has participated twice before with this orphanage and has collected and distributed several thousands of dollars worth of winter clothes, shoes, educational material and toys. Donations come from family members and caring donors back in the Philadelphia area. All of these Reserve Soldiers say that when they return back home they plan on spreading the word to collect material for these less fortunate children in Baghdad. This Army Reserve brigade, composed of Warrior Citizen Soldiers from the Philadelphia area, are part of the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), headquartered at Fort Bragg, N.C.
