On account of both English and Polish speakers in attendance, Gregory Skurczynski (center)a Drawsko Pomorskie, Poland, native, and master of ceremony, translates a speech given by the mayor of Drawsko Pomorskie, Zbigniew Ptak (right), before a soccer game honoring the victims of 9/11 in Drawsko Pomorskie, Poland, Sept. 11. The soccer game was a friendly match between members of the 173rd Airborne Brigade and Team Drawa of Drawsko Pomorskie, Poland. The 173rd Airborne Brigade has partnered with local teachers, fire fighters, veterans and Polish army paratroopers while serving in Operation Atlantic Resolve, a series of combined training missions in Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania dedicated to demonstrating commitment to NATO obligations and maintaining interoperability with allied forces.
