Cpl. Brian Bowman, simulated active shooter during an active shooter exercise called “Operation Social Fury,” and a Charlotte, N.C., native, fires simulated bullets down a hallway to make noise at the Recycling Center aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Aug. 27. Bowman and a partner notionally took over the center to cause harm to their peers. A short while later, military police entered the building in search of their suspects.
