    Soldiers assigned to the 5th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, U.S. Army Alaska, scramble for cover as they fire a 120mm mortar while their unit and U.S. Air Force Air National Guard Joint Terminal Attack Controllers train together at Yukon Training Area, Alaska, to hone joint interoperability and close air support capabilities in a high operations tempo simulated combat environment during the Red Flag-Alaska 14-3 exercise, Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014.
