St. Clair, the commanding officer of the Ground Combat Element Integrated Task Force, exerts all his force while biking against a standardized resistance for 30-seconds, measuring his ability to produce a peak power and maintain that power over time as part of an assessment from the University of Pittsburgh Warrior Human Performance Research Center team, Aug. 21, 2014, at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. From October 2014 to July 2015, the GCEITF will conduct individual and collective level skills training in designated ground combat arms occupational specialties in order to facilitate the standards based assessment of the physical performance of Marines in a simulated operating environment performing specific ground combat arms tasks.
