California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection Section Chief Mark Brown briefs Maj. Gen. David S. Baldwin, the California National Guard adjutant general, about the work being done by hand crews out on the fire line at the Lodge Lightning Complex Fire in Laytonville Aug. 13. Baldwin and senior staff members visited the 340th Brigade Support Battalion Task Force in both Laytonville and Yreka to get a first-hand look at the work done by hand crews and talk about other support resources the National Guard could provide to the wildfire efforts.
