Drawsko Pomorskie Mayor Zbigniew Ptak (left) and Capt. Matthew McCarthy, commander, Company D, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, meet to coordinate future community events Aug. 5. Paratroopers of the 173rd Airborne Brigade trained with local fire fighters, played soccer with local teams and participated in ceremonies of historical importance. The training is part of combined exercises during Operation Atlantic Resolve, which includes U.S., Polish, Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian military forces fostering cohesive relationships and demonstrating a commitment to NATO obligations.
