Women were hired to perform security searches on female voters for the weekend of the Iraqi provincial elections in the Ninewa province. Schools and community buildings were used as polling sites throughout the city. "We are thankful for the privilege to choose our own leaders," one teacher said. "Our army makes the elections possible."
