Command Sgt. Maj. William J. Payne, left forefront, relinquished responsibility to Command Sgt. Maj. Ronald Law, Jr. in a ceremony at the 81st Regional Support Command at Fort Jackson, S.C., Aug. 10. Immedialely following, the 81st RSC held a retirement ceremony for Payne culminating his Army career at 39 years, one month and 19 days. Here, Payne receives the unit colors from 1st Sgt. James Davis.
