Visitors from the U.S. Consulate in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil gather aboard the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) to learn about a light armored vehicle from a Marine with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South, during a ship tour, Aug. 7, 2014. The visitors saw several static displays hosted by Marines showcasing the capabilities that the SPMAGTF brings to the Ship. The Marines with SPMAGTF-South are embarked aboard America on her maiden transit “America Visits the Americas.” The transit aims to demonstrate the capabilities that the Navy-Marine Corps team brings to our nation and partners.
