French navy Cmdr. Denis Jolas and Sailors man the rails of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Nashville as the ship pulls into Dakar, Senegal, for the first African port visit of African Partnership Station 2009. APS 2009 is an international initiative developed by Naval Forces Europe and Naval Forces Africa, which aims to work cooperatively with U.S. and international partners to improve maritime safety and security in West and Central Africa.
