Rct. Troy Tucker, Platoon 2064, Hotel Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, inserts a magazine into his weapon for marksmanship training July 30, 2014, on Parris Island, S.C. Over the course of five days, recruits fire more than 200 rounds each at targets from distances of 200, 300 and 500 yards. Every Marine is a rifleman, meaning recruits must learn how to safely handle and fire loaded weapons during training. Tucker, 20, from Canton, Ga., is scheduled to graduate Sept. 5, 2014.
