U.S. Air Force Tech Sgt. Thomas Doerner, a native of Newark, Del., winds a cord from a tactical weather tower that was being torn down atop a building on Forward Operating Base Pasab Aug. 4, 2014. Doerner serves as battlefield weather forecaster with the 19th Expeditionary Weather Squadron on Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. The tower was the last of 15 to be torn down as weather operations draw down in Regional Command-South.
