Spc. Victor Pulido-Gamez, a cavalry scout from Miami, assigned to Troop C, 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, serves as turret gunner for his section during a security patrol in the Abu T'shir community of the Rashid District in southern Baghdad, Jan. 29. Soldiers of "Comanche" Troop increased security operations, searching southern Baghdad for weapons and working to prevent any violence during Iraq's upcoming provincial elections, scheduled for Jan. 31. The 1st "Raider" Brigade will provide additional security for Iraqi security forces working to secure Iraq's third democratic elections since the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.
