Army Staff Sgt. Yvette Bocanegra, a medic with Texas Medical Command, Texas National Guard, bandages the vaccination site for a client at the Laredo Civic Center on the first day of Operation Lone Star in Laredo, Texas, August 4, 2014. Bocanegra participated in the annual five-day medical and emergency preparedness exercise, which operates at six sites throughout the Rio Grande Valley region, as part of the partnership between Texas Military Forces, Department of State Health Services, and other state and local organizations.
