Monitors display the live video feed from inside the patient during a prostatectomy using the Da Vinci robot in an operating room at Naval Medical Center San Diego. This device allows for the surgeon to operate on the patient through the instruments attached to the plastic covered arms of the robot. The da Vinci robot allows for surgeons to conduct minimally invasive surgery, which leads to quicker recovery time for patients.
