Navy Diver 1st Class Jeremy Sylvest is suited up with a KM-37 dive helmet to remove lift bags from the former Soviet submarine-turned-museum Juliett 484 that sank at her mooring point in about 30 feet of water from a nor'easter, which struck Providence in April of 2007. The submarine was raised from the bottom of the Providence River in July 2008 using lift bags and pontoons in combination with eight dewatering pumps by Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 2, U.S. Army Dive Company and a Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) support unit. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class R.J. Stratchko/Released).
