Lt. Col. Sami the logistics officer for 3rd Brigade, 1st National Police Division, is promoted to the rank of colonel during a promotion ceremony at Combat Outpost Cashe South Jan. 20. Pinning his new rank on are Maj. David Raugh, of Altoona, Pa., who serves as the executive officer of 1st Battalion, 35th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Multi-National Division-Baghdad, and Brig. Gen. Emad, the commander of 3rd Bde., 1st NP Div.
