Airmen and Soldiers from the Iowa National Guard unload a "field" kitchen and supplies at Gage Eckington Elementary School in Washington, D.C. The Iowa Air National Guard is providing two such kitchens in order to feed more than 1,000 troops two hot meals daily. The National Guard Bureau, Washington, D.C., requested these additional troops to assist federal, state, and local agencies with support missions for the presidential inauguration. The request was made as a result of increased operational requirements and growing participant estimates.
