Vice Gov. The ceremony commemorates the beginning of VMGR-152’s transfer to MCAS Iwakuni as part of the Marine Corps and Government of Japan’s bilateral effort to reduce impact to communities surrounding MCAS Futenma, realign the presence and distribute the activities of U.S. forces in Japan. Takara is the vice governor of Okinawa prefecture. Takeda is the Director General of the Okinawa Defense Bureau.
