Staff Sgt. Kristopher Pierce a native of Buckingham, Va., who serves as a squad leader for Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Inf. Brigade Combat Team, 4th Inf. Division, dead lifts 635 lbs., a winning lift in a weightlifting competition on Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, July 9. The weightlifting competition was one of many held on the 1-12’s compound to promote morale, camaraderie, and healthy competition.
