Brig. Gen. Barbaranette Bolden, commander, Joint Task Force-District of Columbia, is seen in the District of Columbia National Guard's Joint Operations Center at the D.C. Armory in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 14. Bolden is leading the 10,000 National Guard citizen-soldiers and Airmen from a dozen states supporting the 56th Presidential Inauguration. "The number of National Guard members that will be used is larger than we've ever had in history," Bolden said. Guardmembers are proud of their role helping ensure a safe and secure environment for the event, Bolden said. "Every Soldier and Airman that comes here, this is a historic event that they will be sharing with their families for many years to come," Bolden said.
