Air Force Tech. Sgt. Abel Rodrigues, 386th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron aircraft structures technician, received an Army Achievement Medal from Army Chief Warrant Officer 3 Shawn Bryan, Bravo Company, 3-159th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion test pilot, June 28, 2014, close to the fight line at The Rock in Southwest Asia. Rodrigues and two other maintainers were responsible for structural and composite repairs on a dozen AH-64Ds ensuring the aircraft were mission ready. He deployed from the 146th Airlift Wing, Channel Islands Air National Guard Station, Calif., in support of Operation Enduring Freedom a and is a native of La Palma, Calif.
