Playing the part of Vice President-elect Joe Biden was Army Spc. Nicholas Rupple, a native of Fairfax, Va. Standing in for Jill Biden was Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Karen Lowden, a native of Cambridge, Ohio. Army Maj. Gen. Richard J. Rowe, Joint Force Headquarters National Capital Region, (middle) acted as himself.
