During a visit to Forward Operating Base Warrior, in Kirkuk, Iraq, Multi-National Corps - Iraq Commander, Lt. Gen. Lloyd Austin, strips Cpl. Walter Ellison III, an Army Reservist from Texas with 490th Civil Affairs Detachment, of his rank and promotes him to sergeant as Austin pins on his stripes, on Dec. 16, 2008. Another Soldier was promoted that day along with two motivated Soldiers who took the opportunity to re-enlist.
