    The amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) patrols the Arabian Gulf. Mesa Verde is deployed as part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and embarked with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (22nd MEU) in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
