A member of the Alabama State Police bomb squad pulls a rope attached to a bag that X-ray imaging has determined to have a suspected explosive device inside, during the first day of Ravens Challenge VIII, a national-level inter-operability exercise with multiple state and federal agencies. The method, known as hook-and-pull, helped remove the backpack away from gas lines, removing it from a potential hazard.
