A medical professional, likely an optometrist or ophthalmologist, is conducting an eye examination on a seated patient using a slit lamp or similar optical instrument. The setting appears to be a temporary or field medical clinic, suggested by the basic furnishings and military-style attire worn by the examiner. Two Snellen eye charts are visible on the walls in the background.
