Rct. Jean Baez Guzman, Platoon 2058, Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, slides across a rope on the Confidence Course June 3, 2014, on Parris Island, S.C. The obstacle requires recruits like Baez Guzman, a 19-year-old from Columbus, Ohio, to slide across a horizontal rope without falling into the pond beneath.
