Fox Herron and Sgt. 1st Class Jun Imoto stand on Mount Kobushidake in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, displaying a Japan Ground Self-Defense Force airborne ranger flag from Japan’s Middle Army. On their descent about an hour later they came across a severely injured 73-year-old hiker and helped him on a 4-hour journey to the bottom and awaiting medical personnel.
